About the marketplace
NaijaMarket Ghana is a marketplace that connects buyers with independent Nigerian businesses operating in Ghana. Sellers set their own prices, stock and delivery terms; every store is reviewed before it goes live, but each business is responsible for its own listings and orders.
Orders and payment
When you send an order the seller may accept, adjust or decline it. Payment and delivery are agreed between you and the seller, either directly or through the checkout shown on a verified store. Prices are shown in Ghana cedis. Online checkout payments are processed by Paystack, our licensed payment provider; we never see or store your card details or mobile money PIN.
Fees and commission
For orders paid through the online checkout, NaijaMarket Ghana charges sellers a commission (5% as standard) on the item subtotal, deducted automatically at checkout. Delivery fees are not charged commission. Orders settled outside the online checkout carry no platform commission.
Refunds
If an order is not delivered, arrives badly damaged or materially differs from its listing, contact the seller first; where the seller cannot resolve it, we will review the case and may issue a refund to your original payment method. Refund requests should be raised promptly after delivery. Payments made directly to a seller outside the online checkout are settled between you and the seller, but we will help mediate a genuine dispute.
Seller responsibilities
Sellers must list accurate products and services, honour agreed orders, keep their store details current, and treat buyers fairly. Accounts that defraud buyers or breach these terms may be suspended or banned.
Buyer responsibilities
Buyers should provide accurate contact and delivery details, pay for accepted orders, and treat sellers respectfully. Reporting a genuine issue is always welcome; false reports may lead to account restriction.
Liability
While we work hard to keep the marketplace safe and reliable, NaijaMarket Ghana is not party to the sale contracts between buyers and sellers and is not liable for the quality, safety or legality of items listed by independent businesses.
Section 8: Inter-City Shipping and Waybill Deliveries
NaijaMarket Ghana is a marketplace directory platform and is not a logistics provider. For orders crossing city lines (e.g., Accra to Kumasi), shipping is executed via third-party commercial transport providers (including VIP, STC, and OA travel buses). The seller assumes full responsibility for securely packaging goods, dropping them at the originating terminal, paying the carrier's baseline fee, and texting the buyer the driver's phone number and parcel receipt code. The buyer is entirely responsible for tracking the arrival time and picking up the parcel at their local destination terminal. NaijaMarket Ghana assumes no liability for transit delays, spilled perishables, or carrier handling disputes.
